Paid Parking Program

The Municipality has a Paid Parking Program in effect in Tobermory and Lion's Head from May 15 to October 15 each year. 
The Municipality enforces its Parking By-law by issuing tickets to illegally parked vehicles for both on-street parking and in parking lots. Enforcement is required to maintain legal parking, regulate traffic movement, and ensure public safety.

Parking Reservations

Parking reservations are required for the following parking lots:

Parking Lot Lion's Head Arena Parking 
4 Tackabury Street in Lion's Head

Little Cove Parking Lot
237 Little Cove Road in Tobermory

McCurdy Parking Lot
Moore Street in Lion's Head

Parking Passes

A resident parking pass is designed to offer access to Municipal parking lots and other on-street parking spaces in Tobermory and Lion's Head. The pass is only an exemption from paying the parking fee, all other provisions of the Parking By-law apply. Resident parking passes are valid until notified otherwise; you do not need to renew the pass yearly. Residents who do not have parking passes from a previous year or have a license plate change can visit or contact the Municipal Office for more information. 

Residents will be required to provide identification and vehicle ownership to acquire parking passes. To obtain a parking pass, please contact us. Please note that Parks Canada passes are not valid in municipal parking lots. 

If you would like more information about where your Parks Canada Pass is valid, please email bruce-fathomfive@pc.gc.ca If you require more than two parking passes, additional resident passes can be purchased for a fee of $50.00 per season. Non-resident parking passes are also available at a fee of $100 per season. 


Winter Parking Restrictions 

Winter parking restrictions are necessary to ensure snow removal operations can be completed safely and effectively. Overnight parking on municipal roads is prohibited annually between November 1 and April 30 from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
